Grandparents Day is coming!!!!

As you may or may not know Grandparents Day is coming in September!
I recently had a 14 year old girl come in for a portrait session with her grandparents. Obviously, this wasn't her idea, but her Mom felt that it was very important to have a portrait done with her grandparents. Very often we take things (like time with gandparents) for granted. I am telling you this because I found this particular session very hard to do. You see, the man that I was photographing reminded me very much of my own grandfather, whom I was very close to.
Yes, I have snap shots of him that were taken throughout the years, but nothing that comes close to what I was able to create for this young girl and her grandparents! It's funny, you could tell (of course, being 14) that she was doing this for her Mom and at one point I casually said to her that one day she would be happy that she had these photographs. Immediately, I saw a change in her expression and I can say that I got some of the most beautiful portraits from this session. Images that I have no doubt she will cherish forever!
These are a few of the images that I got from the session that day!
This is your reminder, what better time is there than Grandparents Day to capture these special portraits now for your children to have forever!

1 Comments:
As a person who was never fortunate enough to know any of my granparents when I was old enough to remember, I have to agree with Nylora's comments to the young lady in the photos shown.
Those are special pictures that, though she may not realize it now, the young lady will be extrememly happy she has to remember her grandparents by.
I hope that many people take advantage of this, priceless, oppotunity.
